I worked in the Minnehaha County Clerk of Courts Office for six years and then moved to the Public Defender’s Office for six years. I have been with Lockwood Law since the August of 2003. My husband, Jeff, and I have been married for 22 years and have two daughters, Nicole and Brooke.
Janelle Meendering
Paralegal
I grew up in Sioux Center, a small town in North West Iowa, the youngest in a family of four children. One week after graduating from high school, I started at Le Mars Beauty School and completed my required 2100 hours in May of 1989; I passed my boards that summer and became a licensed Cosmetologist and worked as a professional hair stylist until March of 1998.
In the summer of 1995 I started attending National American University in Sioux Falls for my Paralegal degree; I graduated with my AA in Paralegal Studies degree in May of 1998 after three years of working full-time and studying part time. I started working as the Paralegal at Lockwood Law Office in 1998 and have been fortunate to stay through all of the transitions and continue to work as the Paralegal for both Tressa and Rhonda.
I have been married to my husband, Clint, since 1995; by the grace of God we have blended our two families together to make one beautiful, crazy family! We have five daughters, Ashley, Amber, Taryn, Natasha, & Morgan; and one son, Cole; we also have a granddaughter, Chyanne, and a grandson, Jaxon, with whom we love to spend our time with. In my spare time I love anything that has anything to do with music and photography; as a family we enjoy camping together.
